Findlay's Inforthewin got first place cheers for the first time at the Henry County Fair in Napoleon on August 19. Her trainer, driver, and co-owner is H.D. Schoonover.

Getting to the winner's circle for the first time is always a major event in a racing Standardbred's life.

Inforthewin, a three-year-old trotting filly from Findlay, Ohio, flashed through three quarters of a mile in 1:36-3/5 in a Northwestern Ohio Colt Stakes race at the Henry County Fair in Napoleon, Ohio August 19 and continued to flow to a five-length advantage at the wire. It was her first win opposite fourteen starts.

In her stylish triumph, Inforthewin left behind her five third place finishes that had promised a better day to come. Her granddaddy's name, Nearly Perfect, seemed also to promise more. More finally came for Inforthewin of the Findlay stable of H.D. & Sandra Sue Schoonover and Sharon K. Wyant. H.D. Schoonover trains and drives the filly, who also has three seconds on her career slate.

Inforthewin, sired by Trainforthefuture--Golly Golly, by Nearly Perfect, won Race No. 6 on Wednesday's abbreviated program. Only six races were carried over from the Monday night scheduled card postponed by thunderstorms. Eight races from Tuesday evening's rainout were also run on Wednesday afternoon.
