Fulton County Fair Featured Eight Races September 1

Local and out-of-state trotters and pacers gathered at Wauseon, Ohio for the 151st Fulton County Fair. Complete Labor Day rosters and winners are listed below.

The Northwestern Ohio Colt Stakes for two-year-old colt pacers sponsored by Seaway Scaffold of Northwood, Ohio opened the Labor Day harness racing at the grandstand track September 1.

TimJon Wins Two-Year-Old Colt Pace

TimJon, of Fremont, Ohio; Goin Home Ray, Republic, Ohio; and Oh My Sam, Wauseon, Ohio finished 1, 2, 3 in the first race of the day. TimJon traveled the mile in 2:03.1 and captured his third win from seven starts on the year.

Also finishing were Speedy Willy T, Delta, Ohio, 4th; Rock'n Sam, Paulding, Ohio, 5th; and Sissy's Scooter, Ida, Michigan, 6th.

Taco Chip Blazen Pegasus PS I'm Dynamic

In the second race on the card, the Northwestern Ohio Colt Stakes for three-year-old trotters sponsored by F & M Bank, Taco Chip, Blazen Pegasus, and PS I'm Dynamic went first, second, and third.

Finishing 4th was Master Solutions, out of Orland, Indiana. Windy Dawn, Hicksville, Ohio, went 5th, and Rose Run Jack, of Pataskala, Ohio trotted home 6th.

Won More Sam Takes Third Race

The Northwestern Ohio Colt Stakes for three-year-old colt pacers sponsored by Stapleton Insurance of Swanton, Ohio featured two Precious Bunny offspring in Must Be The Bunny, pacing for owners out of Perrysburg and Haviland, Ohio, and Barratry, from Fremont, Ohio.

Won More Sam, owned by Defiance and Ottawa, Ohio interests, was the winner in a nose to nose finish. Must Be The Bunny was second, and R C Cruiser, of Monroe, Michigan finished third.

Barratry went 4th, and Buckeye Forever, pacing for Fremont and Holmesville, Ohio owners, finished 5th.

Shezalilyorphan Wins Maiden Trot

In the day's fourth race, the Maiden Trot 1st Division sponsored by Ace Hardware of Wauseon, Ohio, Shezalilyorphan trotted the mile in 2:04.4 for the win. Rose Run Kermit, Eaton Rapids, Michigan, went second, and Amelia Madealia, of Rudolph and Findlay, Ohio owners, finished third.

Trotting 4th was BJ'S Wine N Roses, Odon, Indiana. R E Tornado, of Pinckney, Michigan crossed the wire 5th.

Snow Storm Sam Mr Bacciagalupe King Taylor

The day's fifth race, the Northwestern Ohio Colt Stakes for three-year-old colt pacers 2nd Division sponsored by Poor Jack Amusements of Milton, Indiana, was all Snow Storm Sam. Mr Bacciagalupe and King Taylor went second and third, respectively.

Fourth place went to Biffle, of Carleton, Michigan. Southern Cruiser, Monroe, Michigan, finished 5th, while KF Flash, Hamler, Ohio, came to the wire 6th.

Presidential Pride Mike And Jim Do It Doc's Way

Finishing behind the first three in the Non-Winners Pace 1st Division sponsored by Smiths Restaurant of Wauseon, Ohio were Golden Catfish, Lagrange, Indiana, 4th; and She's A Tom Cat, Mount Sterling, Ohio, 5th.

Market Call Super Land Hoosier Jazz

Behind the winners in the Maiden Trot 2nd Division sponsored by Delta Tran Trucking of Delta, Ohio, were BR'S Andovercharly, Napoleon, Ohio, 4th; Rose Run Jumbo, Charlotte, Michigan, 5th; and Hidden Sensation, of Mark Center, Ohio, 6th.

Royalton Star Takes Eighth Race

Five entrants braved the Non-Winners Pace 2nd Division, the day's final race sponsored by Roth Starting Gate, Wauseon, Ohio. Royalton Star, Lyons, Ohio, grabbed the lead from Bristol, Indiana's Lady McJate at the three-quarters pole and sped home in 1:56.4, tying the card's fastest time.

Following were Surelymowdowner, of Whitehouse, Ohio, in third; Alpine Hall, pacing 4th for his Fayette and Archbold, Ohio owners; and El Marty Shark, of Coldwater, Michigan, 5th.

All races were held under the rules and license of the Ohio State Racing Commission and the United States Trotting Association.
