Records of Fulton County Fair Harness EntrantsWauseon Ohio Welcomed Horses from Several States On Labor DayPresidential Pride's lifetime earnings of over $72,000 in 185 starts led the harness trotters and pacers who entered the Fulton County Fair at Wauseon, Ohio on Labor Day.
Pride was high on Labor Day, September 1, at Wauseon, Ohio when 14-year-old Presidential Pride of Wauseon led the eight-race card featuring Standardbreds from area states such as Michigan and Indiana. Wauseon's own, Presidential Pride, took his twelve years of racing experience right to his four competitors and held them off in the 6th race to gain his 33rd victory from 185 lifetime starts. His long and successful career also includes 21 career second place finishes and 25 third place showings. On Labor Day, he added a couple thousand dollars to his standing career bankroll of $72,437. Taco Chip Impressive in Race Number TwoThe least raced against five rivals in Race Two, Taco Chip shook away inexperience and impressed in the day's second race. He charged to a substantial lead and was in command throughout his mile trot. The other milers had double Taco Chip's number of starts prior to Race Two.
