Royalton Star and Snow Storm Sam Starred in Races Eight and Five

Results for Race Four, Race Five, Race Seven, and Race Eight included starring performances from Henry County's Snow Storm Sam and Royalton Star of Lyons, Ohio.

Royalton Star, from the village of Lyons, north of Wauseon and near the Michigan state line, increased his prestige at the age of four by winning the Fulton County Fair's eighth race on Labor Day. He defeated four rivals, including the successful six-year-old mare, Lady McJate, winner of nine races from 38 starts.

The son of Threefold, Royalton Star ripped the lead from Lady McJate at the three-quarters pole and tied the day's best time of 1:56.4 in capturing his 13th lifetime win.

Snow Storm Sam Sets the Day's Time

Along with Wauseon's Presidential Pride in Race Six, Snow Storm Sam emerged as the day's top crowd pleaser. He set the day's best time (1:56.4), which was later tied by Royalton Star in the eighth race, by catching on fire at the three-quarters pole after stalking in fourth position early on in Race Five.
